Crochet Granny Stitch Shawl- Free Pattern

For the longest time, I have wanted to make a Granny Stitch Shawl. It seems like a perfect scarf to wrap around my neck on a cold winter day! Also, it would make a nice lap blanket as well.

The Granny Stitch Shawl works up very fast! Since it is very repetitive, it is a good project to do while watching TV, sitting outside on the porch, or riding in the car. I picked pinks, red and white for Valentine’s Day and added tassels to the sides. You could also do a fun border or do the tassels all the way around. The options are endless!

So, on to our free pattern!

For my shawl, I did 8 rows of each color with a row of white in between. I also added tassels at each corner by cutting a length of yarn about 10 inches each and looping it through the corners.

Let me know if you try this shawl! I would love to hear!

Happy Crocheting!
