Not So Scary Crochet Ghost Hat Pattern

Happy Fall!
The weather here in Colorado changed overnight to winter somehow. So, we have had to break out the coats, hats, and gloves already! Since it is close to Halloween, I asked my daughter if she would like a crochet Halloween Hat. She said yes but not a scary one like, “a zombie or monster” so I asked if a cute ghost would be ok and she agreed. So, I set to work. This is the first of my own pattern that I have put up. If there are questions, please let me know!

Repeat Rows 13-19 to make the second ear flap. Finish off
Change color to purple. Single crochet evenly around the entire hat. In the flap ends (corners), single crochet 3 stitches. You may need to do a couple single crochet in some of the edge to make it even. Finish off.
Change color to orange. Single crochet evenly around the entire hat as you did with the purple. Make it even and single crochet 3 stitches on the ends (corners) of the flaps.

Tassels:
Cut 10 of each of the colors: purple, orange and black for the tassels. These will be cut at about 36 inches. Separate them by color. Pull them through the bottom of the hat where it makes a point at the end of the flap. Pull the group of yarn half way through. Then, braid the tassel putting like colors together in the braid. Repeat on the other side.

Change to orange yarn. Join in any space around the edge of the bow and sc around evenly. I like to put 3 sc in the corners for turning. Finish off

Wrap the purple yarn around the rectangle to make a bow. I wrap it about 10-14 times and leave 2 tails to tie a knot and sew in place according to the placement in photo.

Sew the eyes on according to placement in the picture.

Sew a mouth on with your yarn needle.

Weave in all of your ends.
That is it!

Happy Crocheting!
